 Punjabis are Stuck People in Sindh and need attention of Punjab.

In 1901 Nara Canal and in 1932 Sukkur Barrage lands were allotted to Punjabi settlers in Rural Sindh, aiming to increase the cultivating area of Sindh. Punjabi’s did the task with manual labor, as machinery was not available at that time.

With the passage of time; those Punjabis were assimilated in Sindh by adopting Sindhi language, culture, and traditions but in 1970’s, at time of 1st PPP government, under the leadership of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Sindhi’s forced the Punjabi settlers to leave the Sindh by handing over the cultivated lands to Sindhi’s.

The majority of Punjabi landholder, educated, well-skilled, and well-established Punjabi settlers, considered it feasible to migrate to Hyderabad, Karachi and Abroad or Back to Punjab.

Remaining Punjabi settlers in Sindh are stuck people due to many reasons; they were not able to migrate. Anyhow, with low profile social and business lifestyle and under harassment, they are living in rural Sindh. 

Punjab has never bothered to help the Punjabi settlers of Sindh and to question the Sindhis for their brutal, immoral, and inhuman treatment with Punjabi settlers of Sindh. But, now due to the rise in Punjabi nationalism, Punjab has moral obligation to help the stuck people of Sindh and raise the issue with Sindhis.
